Reversed Lens Photography Studios specializes in fresh, boutique portraiture for every stage in life. Our passion is capturing the emotion inherent in the human experience-- the first days of babyhood, the jubilance of childhood, the awkwardness and anticipation of the teenage years, the sweetness of love and the beginnings of a life together-- and then translating those moments into heirloom-quality art.

Our blog is a combination of all of those moments. We highlight the latest sessions from our portrait and event work, as well as little glimpses into what drives our creativity and passion. Sometimes that's a product or vendor that we're thrilled to have stumbled into, or it might just be moments from our life that we felt compelled to share.

More than anything, we hope that you'll feel our passion: for beauty, even in the most unexpected places, for uniqueness, but most of all for the true, beautiful joy of real life.

Come see your life through a different lens with us today!

The Hot Spot™: Paper Zone on Grand

It may seem like an obvious love, given that our studio is immediately above Paper Zone on Grand, smack in the middle between them and Rejuvenation Hardware. But I loved them long before we ever opened our studio. I’ve always been a textiles fanatic, paper included, and have wandered and imagined and conspired in this store for at least ten years now. Then we opened our business and had an incredible need for creative, beautiful products to showcase our whimsical photography style and they were my natural destination. Their staff was so amazingly helpful that they literally helped me craft my first packaging and marketing lines! Needless to say the relationship has grown over the last several months but they’re still my go-to source because they’re the best, hands down.

May 30, 2009 - 8:20 am Melissa Mitchell - I love Paper Zone! I'm so happy I'll be living near one again. There's nothing like it in Chicago!

June 10, 2009 - 8:03 am Will - You'll just have to visit us a lot then :) There's actually a couple of great paper stores in Portland. I'll take you on a tour when you get here!
