Reversed Lens Photography Studios specializes in fresh, boutique portraiture for every stage in life. Our passion is capturing the emotion inherent in the human experience-- the first days of babyhood, the jubilance of childhood, the awkwardness and anticipation of the teenage years, the sweetness of love and the beginnings of a life together-- and then translating those moments into heirloom-quality art.

Our blog is a combination of all of those moments. We highlight the latest sessions from our portrait and event work, as well as little glimpses into what drives our creativity and passion. Sometimes that's a product or vendor that we're thrilled to have stumbled into, or it might just be moments from our life that we felt compelled to share.

More than anything, we hope that you'll feel our passion: for beauty, even in the most unexpected places, for uniqueness, but most of all for the true, beautiful joy of real life.

Come see your life through a different lens with us today!

Introducing Lacey • 2011 Southridge High School Senior Rep

There is only one word that I can think of that really describes Lacey: she is SASSY. She’s a total fireball, full of energy and also a total crack-up (you just know that there’s a practical joke or witty thought brewing in her head pretty much 24/7). She was the first of our senior representatives...

Introducing Ellie • 2011 Oregon Episcopal School Senior Rep

We have done most of our senior sessions this year down in the inner SE Portland industrial district, where our studio is located (yes, right in the middle of all of the construction for MAX!), but for Ellie we made an exception. She has a CRAZY schedule– she was just in the school play, she...

Introducing Amanda • 2011 Century High School Senior Rep

We’ve been so busy PHOTOGRAPHING our senior representatives that I haven’t had a chance to BLOG about our senior reps. But we have a whole bunch that are just waiting in the wings to be showcased and I’m thrilled to start with Amanda. We’ve been photographing their family for a couple of years now and...

Sandhya • Oregon Episcopal School Class of 2010

I know that you’re not supposed to play favorites among your clients, anymore than you’re supposed to play favorites among your kids. The latter is easy for me because we only have one tot. But this session with Sandhya was, by far, one of my favorite sessions we have ever done with a senior. She’s...

Alexa & Erynn • Lincoln High Class of 2010

When I was younger I had this dream of having twins. I thought it would be the coolest thing. Now that I’m the mother of a crazy, exhuberant little girl I’m kind of glad that we have them one at a time (at least so far…) But that little part of me that loves the...

Megan • Jesuit Class of 2010 • Portland Oregon Senior Pictures

We’ve been getting to know Megan for about a year now. First we did a session with she and three of her best girlfriends, who have all known each other since attending the French American School together. Then she decided to be our senior rep for Jesuit High School this year and we were thrilled....

Palmer • Beaverton Class of 2010 • Portland Oregon Senior Portraits

I’m not entirely sure what I was thinking when I scheduled Palmer’s session… well, yes I did. I was thinking that somewhere in the 90 degree range didn’t sound bad for tromping around town. That was before I knew that the day that we photographed would be the day that we hit our summer high...

Amanda • Jesuit Class of 2010 • Portland Oregon Senior Portraits

Maybe I shouldn’t admit this, but Amanda was actually the very first person that we ever took senior portraits of… when she was a sophomore! She is such a natural beauty that we borrowed her and pretended that she was a few years more advanced in the school age. The very next day we met...

Introducing Dillon • 2010 Benson High School Senior Portrait Representative

We ventured out with Dillon last weekend on one of those perfect spring mornings that really feels more like summer. He’ll be a senior next year at Benson High School, near downtown Portland, but we stayed fairly close to his personal digs since, well, that’s where he and his friends spend most of their time....

Introducing Kelsi • 2010 Sunset High School Senior Portrait Representative

I’m probably a little bit biased about Kelsi– I’ve known her since she was a crazy little two-year old, and it’s been amazing to see her grow up to be the fabulous young woman that she is now. But when she agreed to be our rep for Sunset High School for the 2010 school year...
