Reversed Lens Photography Studios specializes in fresh, boutique portraiture for every stage in life. Our passion is capturing the emotion inherent in the human experience-- the first days of babyhood, the jubilance of childhood, the awkwardness and anticipation of the teenage years, the sweetness of love and the beginnings of a life together-- and then translating those moments into heirloom-quality art.

Our blog is a combination of all of those moments. We highlight the latest sessions from our portrait and event work, as well as little glimpses into what drives our creativity and passion. Sometimes that's a product or vendor that we're thrilled to have stumbled into, or it might just be moments from our life that we felt compelled to share.

More than anything, we hope that you'll feel our passion: for beauty, even in the most unexpected places, for uniqueness, but most of all for the true, beautiful joy of real life.

Come see your life through a different lens with us today!

Little Miss Olive • Portland Oregon Child Photography

I think that names say a lot about a person. If you have a super cute name, full of personality, how can one not be fun? Well, Olive certainly proves my point. She was fun all around within about thirty seconds of walking in the door! This time of year the weather doesn’t always cooperate...

Sandhya • Oregon Episcopal School Class of 2010

I know that you’re not supposed to play favorites among your clients, anymore than you’re supposed to play favorites among your kids. The latter is easy for me because we only have one tot. But this session with Sandhya was, by far, one of my favorite sessions we have ever done with a senior. She’s...

Resnick Family • Portland Oregon Family Photographers

We’ve been having a fabulous time working with Holly Resnick and Marni Renison, the faces of Better TV’s “It Moms” segments. Holly & Marni are bringing out a new website and came to us to do some new pictures to match their new look. One of the things that I absolutely love about them is...

Palmer • Beaverton Class of 2010 • Portland Oregon Senior Portraits

I’m not entirely sure what I was thinking when I scheduled Palmer’s session… well, yes I did. I was thinking that somewhere in the 90 degree range didn’t sound bad for tromping around town. That was before I knew that the day that we photographed would be the day that we hit our summer high...

Amanda • Jesuit Class of 2010 • Portland Oregon Senior Portraits

Maybe I shouldn’t admit this, but Amanda was actually the very first person that we ever took senior portraits of… when she was a sophomore! She is such a natural beauty that we borrowed her and pretended that she was a few years more advanced in the school age. The very next day we met...

Rains Family • Portland Oregon Family Photography

I’ve been friends with Tracy, the owner and proprietor of Pumpkin Noodle, an adorable line of children’s clothing, for quite some time now. We’ve often chatted about getting together to photograph their family and now it’s finally come to fruition! This was such a fun session. Both John and Tracy are super gregarious and fun...

Megan & Nat • Portland Oregon Wedding Photography

We set out last week to photograph Megan and Nat in one of our favorite spots in Pearl District (we’d thought it was “our” spot, but we keep seeing it pop up on blogs around the city; I guess we’ve been discovered!) I loved the bright colors they chose, which matched their personalities perfectly. I...

Introducing Kelsi • 2010 Sunset High School Senior Portrait Representative

I’m probably a little bit biased about Kelsi– I’ve known her since she was a crazy little two-year old, and it’s been amazing to see her grow up to be the fabulous young woman that she is now. But when she agreed to be our rep for Sunset High School for the 2010 school year...
