Reversed Lens Photography Studios specializes in fresh, boutique portraiture for every stage in life. Our passion is capturing the emotion inherent in the human experience-- the first days of babyhood, the jubilance of childhood, the awkwardness and anticipation of the teenage years, the sweetness of love and the beginnings of a life together-- and then translating those moments into heirloom-quality art.

Our blog is a combination of all of those moments. We highlight the latest sessions from our portrait and event work, as well as little glimpses into what drives our creativity and passion. Sometimes that's a product or vendor that we're thrilled to have stumbled into, or it might just be moments from our life that we felt compelled to share.

More than anything, we hope that you'll feel our passion: for beauty, even in the most unexpected places, for uniqueness, but most of all for the true, beautiful joy of real life.

Come see your life through a different lens with us today!

Photobooth, ’80s style • Portland Oregon Photobooth

Oh, how I love me some photobooth pictures, especially when they’re like this! But let me back up first and tell you how we achieved the awesomeness you will see below. One of our favorite clients just celebrated her 40th birthday and her husband threw her an amazing ’80s-themed party to celebrate. They, and their friends, went ALL OUT in the costume department, as you will see below. Cindy and John, our clients, were so amazingly, um, decorated that I literally would not have known either of them on the street. As part of the celebration, John asked us to come and document the party, the shots of which will be up on the blog in the next day or two. We also brought along The Mini Studio™, our version of an old-style photobooth, and let things roll. Here are some of the fabulous highlights:

This wig was also once worn to the Portland Auto Show. Oh, the wonders.

I have to ask Cindy how long it took to get the neon out of her naturally blond hair!

Rocky and Mr. T had a rematch. And yes, Mr. T did shave his head for the party.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Guests can go to our photo viewing site and download their images as mementos of the evening. Just choose your images and select “download digital copy”; they are free at checkout! Hopefully none of them will be used as blackmail.
