Reversed Lens Photography Studios specializes in fresh, boutique portraiture for every stage in life. Our passion is capturing the emotion inherent in the human experience-- the first days of babyhood, the jubilance of childhood, the awkwardness and anticipation of the teenage years, the sweetness of love and the beginnings of a life together-- and then translating those moments into heirloom-quality art.

Our blog is a combination of all of those moments. We highlight the latest sessions from our portrait and event work, as well as little glimpses into what drives our creativity and passion. Sometimes that's a product or vendor that we're thrilled to have stumbled into, or it might just be moments from our life that we felt compelled to share.

More than anything, we hope that you'll feel our passion: for beauty, even in the most unexpected places, for uniqueness, but most of all for the true, beautiful joy of real life.

Come see your life through a different lens with us today!

Our little Pea • Portland Oregon Child Portraits

You know that old adage about cobblers and their shoes? We take a lot of photos of our daughter. A lot. Maybe too many. But most of them are taken on the fly whilst living our life. They end up on our hard drives and never see the light of day. The other day we were out running errands and we stopped at one of our favorite pubs for lunch. She was being particularly adorable, and looking particularly adorable, and so I decided to give a photo shoot with my own child a go. She’s been raised around the camera; she is often impervious to it and any direction by me. But that day she was a doll. And so here she is, at last, for all the world to see– or at least the little corner that follows our life and love.

February 15, 2010 - 7:47 am Kelly - Aww, she is a sweetheart. And she's getting so big! Seems like I saw some photos of her on LJ, but it must have been a long time ago. Great work, of course!

February 15, 2010 - 8:25 am MIdge - These are just lovely. I can see the adult in her (not what you wanted to hear, I'm sure)! The walking down the path looking at her shoes shot is my favorite. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful child with us.

February 19, 2010 - 10:31 am Nana - The pictures are just beautiful Emma! Great job!! Makes me miss you all the more! Love, Mom

February 21, 2010 - 5:11 pm Karli Winters - OH MY GOSH! She's gotten so grown up since we saw her last! How time flies. What a cutie. By the way, we still have people ask us weekly about who did our gorgeous photo over our mantle. It continues to be a hit a year and a half later. :)
