Reversed Lens Photography Studios specializes in fresh, boutique portraiture for every stage in life. Our passion is capturing the emotion inherent in the human experience-- the first days of babyhood, the jubilance of childhood, the awkwardness and anticipation of the teenage years, the sweetness of love and the beginnings of a life together-- and then translating those moments into heirloom-quality art.

Our blog is a combination of all of those moments. We highlight the latest sessions from our portrait and event work, as well as little glimpses into what drives our creativity and passion. Sometimes that's a product or vendor that we're thrilled to have stumbled into, or it might just be moments from our life that we felt compelled to share.

More than anything, we hope that you'll feel our passion: for beauty, even in the most unexpected places, for uniqueness, but most of all for the true, beautiful joy of real life.

Come see your life through a different lens with us today!

Erin and Gus • Portland Oregon Engagement and Wedding Photographers

Our associates, Rob and Ryan, will be photographing Gus and Erin’s wedding later this summer and I have to say that I’m a little bit jealous. Gus and Erin are my favorite kind of couple– creative, free-spirited, and fabulously gorgeous. They’re having their ceremony at the Portland Rhododendron Gardens, which is sure to be absolutely stunning, and then they’re having their ceremony at… Berbati’s Pan. Can you sense my elation through the computer?? The owners are old friends of Gus’ family and they’re going to rock the night away (including a performance by Gus’ band!) And I have a feeling that an appearance by doughnuts from Voodoo Doughnuts is going to make an appearance at the reception. I’m just sayin’. We’ll be driving back from a wedding at Cannon Beach that night and we just might have to crash the party.

But first comes, well, love of course, and then an engagement session. Erin loves the light at the end of the day and so they all set out on a beautiful summer evening. I love these photographs, particularly the ones on the river. I love their easy, simple love that comes shining through so naturally. And I know that their wedding, and life together, will be just as beautiful.

I had to include this image. The, um, gentleman behind them was enjoying the view
so much that he insisted on continuing his enjoyment, so they just played right along!

I had to include this one too, in keeping with my fetish for shoe shots.
