Reversed Lens Photography Studios specializes in fresh, boutique portraiture for every stage in life. Our passion is capturing the emotion inherent in the human experience-- the first days of babyhood, the jubilance of childhood, the awkwardness and anticipation of the teenage years, the sweetness of love and the beginnings of a life together-- and then translating those moments into heirloom-quality art.

Our blog is a combination of all of those moments. We highlight the latest sessions from our portrait and event work, as well as little glimpses into what drives our creativity and passion. Sometimes that's a product or vendor that we're thrilled to have stumbled into, or it might just be moments from our life that we felt compelled to share.

More than anything, we hope that you'll feel our passion: for beauty, even in the most unexpected places, for uniqueness, but most of all for the true, beautiful joy of real life.

Come see your life through a different lens with us today!

Calling all military brides! • Portland Oregon Wedding Photography

We are thrilled to be a part of one of the best celebrations of the Fourth of July that I have ever heard of– the Brides Across America military bride dress giveaway at Charlotte’s Weddings and More! Brides Across America is an AMAZING organization. As they state on their website, “Bringing bridal and military together...

Maggie and Patrick • Portland Oregon Wedding Photographers

We met Maggie and Patrick (and Maggie’s awesome mom, Robin) at a wedding show last January, and I completely fell in love with Maggie right there on the spot. She was just so sweet and adorable. And their venue, the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse, is one of our favorite venues to photograph. Maggie and Patrick have...

Rains Family • Portland Oregon Family Photography

I’ve been friends with Tracy, the owner and proprietor of Pumpkin Noodle, an adorable line of children’s clothing, for quite some time now. We’ve often chatted about getting together to photograph their family and now it’s finally come to fruition! This was such a fun session. Both John and Tracy are super gregarious and fun...

Saturday in the park • Portland Oregon Family Photography

We did a session with the Kodesch family last fall that ranks as one of my favorites of all time. Part of that, I’m sure, has to do with how much I love these little girls. Part of it was their adorable Boden outfits. But the best part was watching them be their adorable selves...

Photobooth, ’80s style • Portland Oregon Photobooth

Oh, how I love me some photobooth pictures, especially when they’re like this! But let me back up first and tell you how we achieved the awesomeness you will see below. One of our favorite clients just celebrated her 40th birthday and her husband threw her an amazing ’80s-themed party to celebrate. They, and their...

Krysta had a great time playing dress-up and Katherine at Event Cosmetics made her look even...

Baby Thomas • Portland Oregon Newborn Photography

I was so thrilled to photograph Baby Thomas last week. He was only eight days old and still so sleepy and unaware of the world around him, almost like he was dreaming. I love that about newborns! He’s been an eagerly anticipated addition to this busy family (he joins three older brothers, one of whom...

Megan & Nat • Portland Oregon Wedding Photography

We set out last week to photograph Megan and Nat in one of our favorite spots in Pearl District (we’d thought it was “our” spot, but we keep seeing it pop up on blogs around the city; I guess we’ve been discovered!) I loved the bright colors they chose, which matched their personalities perfectly. I...

Introducing Dillon • 2010 Benson High School Senior Portrait Representative

We ventured out with Dillon last weekend on one of those perfect spring mornings that really feels more like summer. He’ll be a senior next year at Benson High School, near downtown Portland, but we stayed fairly close to his personal digs since, well, that’s where he and his friends spend most of their time....

Divine Miss Em • Portland Oregon Wedding Photography

I LOVE bridals. I remember being younger and looking through bridal magazines (heck, I still do that!) and oohing and ahhing over all of the gorgeous images. It’s like the big girls’ version of dress-up and such a fun way to capture some unique images of the bride, in her one of a kind wedding...
