Reversed Lens Photography Studios specializes in fresh, boutique portraiture for every stage in life. Our passion is capturing the emotion inherent in the human experience-- the first days of babyhood, the jubilance of childhood, the awkwardness and anticipation of the teenage years, the sweetness of love and the beginnings of a life together-- and then translating those moments into heirloom-quality art.

Our blog is a combination of all of those moments. We highlight the latest sessions from our portrait and event work, as well as little glimpses into what drives our creativity and passion. Sometimes that's a product or vendor that we're thrilled to have stumbled into, or it might just be moments from our life that we felt compelled to share.

More than anything, we hope that you'll feel our passion: for beauty, even in the most unexpected places, for uniqueness, but most of all for the true, beautiful joy of real life.

Come see your life through a different lens with us today!

Ross and Nora • Portland Oregon Wedding Photographers

One of the things that we love about weddings is being a part of the entire day, from the early preparations and anticipation through the last dance and send-off. We often get requests to do smaller affairs and we typically refer them to another photographer because our style is so much more suited to capturing...

Oh, how I love clients who love us…

We’ve been working on a project with Charlotte’s Weddings, which we’ll be unveiling this week. We’ve been having a fabulous time with them and so I was thrilled to read this on their blog: I recently had the privilege of working with Emma and Will of Reversed Lens Photography. We had pictures taken of our...

Introducing Kelsi • 2010 Sunset High School Senior Portrait Representative

I’m probably a little bit biased about Kelsi– I’ve known her since she was a crazy little two-year old, and it’s been amazing to see her grow up to be the fabulous young woman that she is now. But when she agreed to be our rep for Sunset High School for the 2010 school year...

Introducing Megan • 2010 Jesuit High School Senior Portrait Representative

We met Megan last fall when we photographed her and three of her best friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. We had such a good time with them that we immediately asked if any of them were interested in being reps for us for the 2010 school year. And we were thrilled when both...

The Hot Spot™: Paper Zone on Grand

It may seem like an obvious love, given that our studio is immediately above Paper Zone on Grand, smack in the middle between them and Rejuvenation Hardware. But I loved them long before we ever opened our studio. I’ve always been a textiles fanatic, paper included, and have wandered and imagined and conspired in this...

Oliver and Cameron • Portland Oregon Family Photography

I photographed these two little cuties a few weeks ago at Gabriel Park, one of beautiful sprawling expanses of green in our fair city of Portland. They were a couple of the most gregarious little fellows I’ve met in a long time– I have a whole series of Cam imitating David Beckham that I’ll have...

Maggie and Patrick • Portland Oregon Wedding Photographers

We’ll be photographing Maggie and Patrick’s wedding in June at the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse, just outside of Portland, which I am totally psyched about. I LOVE this venue and can’t wait to capture their day there. But first, we got to photograph what we like to call the dress rehearsal minus the 500 onlookers, aka...

More of Zach • Portland Oregon Child Photographers

When Zach’s mom, Tracy of Pumpkin Noodle Clothing Co. hatched the idea of using her Mother’s Day themed apparel for the NW Kids magazine May cover, we knew immediately that one of the models had to be her son, Zach. He’s such an impish little guy and we knew he’d be perfect for our little...

More of Anaya • Portland Oregon Child Photographers

I promised Anaya’s mom that I would put up some more images of her beautiful little girl. We photographed her a few weeks ago for the May issue of NW Kids magazine and had such a fabulous time with this bundle of energy. We took her to one of Portland’s beautiful parks, full of spring...
